Admission Price
Main Events on Saturday: General
admission to the Georgia Barbecue Classic is $5.00 per person during the main events on Saturday
June 7 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. There is no charge for children 2 and under. The
play area for kids featuring a "bouncy house" and other fun activities
is open to youngsters of appropriate age for no additional charge with paid admission.
People's Choice Barbecue Sampling: As in past years, everyone will
have the opportunity to sample barbecue prepared by the backyard cooks and vote
for your favorite in the People's Choice Trophy competition. The details of how
samples will be handled have not been finalized yet, but will be posted here as
soon as possible. Please note that Professional teams are forbidden
by KCBS rules to serve samples to the public.
Reduced Friday admission: Admisson on Friday is only
$5.00 per carload, so pack as many folks in as you can and come on out to the GBC! No barbecue samples or kids activities will be available Friday night,
but there will be great entertainment on the main stage and most craft and vendor
tents will be open from 4:00pm to 10:00pm on June 6th.
Tip: If you'd like to learn more about
competitive barbecue, Friday night is the
best time to visit with the cook teams
and ask questions!
Admission Policies:
- There will be no advance ticket sales; all admission must be paid at the event.
- Admission will not be refunded for any reason.
- This is a rain or shine event; there will be no rain checks.
- In case of rain, parking may be moved to nearby paved lots and shuttle buses provided
to the event site.
