Come experience Georgia's finest barbecue joint for a day.
The highlight of the Georgia Barbecue Classic is the Professional Competition, where
the top teams from across the South will battle for the title of Grand Champion
and over $10,000 in prize money. The professional cooking teams will compete in
the four KCBS meat categories: pork shoulder, pork ribs, beef brisket
and chicken, as well as the non-sanctioned categories of barbecue
sauce and dessert.
On Saturday you'll be free to stroll among the pro team's camps, checking out the
different smokers and watching the cooks work their magic with smoke and meat. Keep
in mind though that this competition is serious business for the professional cooks
and don't interrupt them when they are busy preparing their entries for judging.
